Temporary Project Orgs

Students at St. Olaf are now able to create a new type of organization!

Do you and a couple other friends have an idea? Do you wish that you could make an org that could last for less than one year? Do you have an idea for a "week" or other one-time issue based org? Now you can create a "Temporary Project Org".

To be considered for recognition, a Temporary Project Org" should be comprised of at least 4 students and can be active for any definite period of time up to a max of one academic year. Examples of possible project orgs include a Minnesota Poverty Week, an anti/pro prop 8 awareness group, or an org to promote community change.

Applications for "Temporary Project Orgs" are located in the Office of Student Activities on a salmon/coral sheet of paper
If you have any questions or would like more information about short term organizations, please email SOC Coordinator, Katherine Horvat at horvat@stolaf.edu.

SOC during Interim

Hello Orgs!

I hope that you have all had a good semester and that SOC has been helpful for you. I just wanted to let you all know that I will not be around during Interim. However, SOC will still be having two meetings during January (the 7th and the 21st) to consider funding requests. The Interim SOC Coordinator will be Shannon Reidlinger . She will be able to answer all questions you might have during Jaunary.

Our first SOC meeting of 2nd semester will be February 10th.

Have a good Holiday break and Interim. As always, please contact me at horvat@stolaf.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
